Deep Vein Thrombosis Prevention
Sequential compression devices, such as sleeves and pumps, are commonly used to prevent deep vein thrombosis (DVT) in patients who are under anesthesia for 30 minutes or longer. The sleeves and pumps are effective methods for protecting the patient, surgeon, and facility from DVT. The decision to use these devices is typically made by the medical team responsible for the patient’s care.
Advantages we provide
-
All sleeves and machines necessary are provided as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) without any cost to the facility.
-
Additionally, MDS bills the patient's insurance as required without any extra charges to the patient.
